It was a long weekend and my beloved has just finished her exams, therefore we were planning on where to go to relax ourselves after a hectic week. So when she suggested on where to go, I did a double take.
“Where did you say you want to go?”
“The Library,” she replied.
“Are you sure? I thought the library was the last place you want to go after a whole month of studying?”
“Yup,” while flashing her naughty sweet smile.
So here we are, at the Library.

When we arrived at the Library at around 9pm, the entrance was crowded and there was a sign indicating that there was a private function and the open area were still open for business. While we were contemplating whether to enter the Library or go to another place, I took a few snaps of the nicely decorated bar and bistro.

I have always thought that libraries should be filled with antique study tables and they have one right in front of the entrance. Next to the other side of the entrance are stacks of ‘books’ nicely arranged on the shelves.

Finally we have decided to enter the Library and to find a nice place to settle down. However, the outer area was packed with people and we were forced to settle down somewhere next to a huge ventilation area. The place we sat was not that bad after all, since we got a nice view and the ventilation actually is quite cooling considering that was a hot night.

After a long wait, finally we have a ‘librarian’ to serve us. We noticed that all ‘librarians’ wear glasses and had their long hairs tied up into a pony tail. We ordered a pint of Hoegaarden (and we got half a pint free @ RM36).

The beer is smooth and with 50cl (centi-litres) it just will not get you drunk, even if you are not a good drinker. If you are really bad with alcohols, try the half-pint instead (25cl). Besides beer, my beloved wanted to try out their cocktails and ordered something pinkish, which I cannot recall the name. (My beloved later told me that it is called “woo woo”, what a name for a drink.)

This pinkish cocktail is a mixture of fruit juice and some fruit-based alcohol. It taste kind of sweet and we might mistaken it as some kind of fruit punch instead of a cocktail. The Library’s list of cocktails are extensive and they even have to categorize the drinks from A to Z, and a section for numbers too. After drinking for a while (we were so ‘thirsty’ that we started drinking before taking the pictures), we realised that we have not eaten proper dinner. Since the Library was having a private function, only finger food was served. Therefore we ordered something finger-ly.

Yup, this is our finger food, the Petit Sausage. The food is nice but the mustard tastes funny. If not for the yellowish color, I would have thought that it was wasabi. We left the Library after roughly 90 minutes as we have finished our drink and food, and our area was getting too noisy that my beloved and I could barely hear each other.
To be continued…
